Healthcare Belgium is a non-profit organisation established in 2007 by the most prominent Belgian hospital groups. The organisation receives substantial support from several leaders of the medical technology industry in Belgium.
According to the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Report 2013–2014, Belgium has outstanding health indicators and a primary education system that is among the best in the world (2nd). Belgium also boasts an exceptional higher education and training system (5th), with excellent math and science education, top-notch management schools, and a strong propensity for on-the-job training that contribute to a relatively high capacity to innovate.
